GTC
General Terms and Conditions
1.Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the use of the website e-turnier.ch and to all contracts concluded via the platform between the operator and the users. They apply in particular to participation in tournaments, the purchase of tournament tickets and the purchase of products in the shop.
2.Operator / contractual partner
The contractual partner for all contracts concluded via e-turnier.ch is the operator of the platform. The contact details can be found in clause 28 and in the imprint. The platform enables the organisation of e-sports tournaments, the sale of tournament tickets and the sale of physical products in the shop.
3.User account
Purchasing tournament tickets and placing orders in the shop requires a user account. Truthful information must be provided during registration. The password must be kept confidential and not shared with third parties.
The operator reserves the right to block accounts in the event of misuse, false information or breaches of these GTC.
4.Tournaments and events
E-sports tournaments and events are organised and published on e-turnier.ch. The tournaments are carried out via the partner platform play.e-turnier.ch. The specific conditions of a tournament (game, format, date, location, number of participants, prize money) are set out in the respective tournament description.
5.Tournament tickets
Participation in a tournament requires the purchase of a valid ticket. A ticket entitles the person registered on the ticket to participate in the specified tournament. Tickets are personalised and non-transferable unless otherwise expressly communicated.
6.Prices
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). The prices stated on the website at the time the contract is concluded are authoritative. Price changes remain reserved.
7.Conclusion of contract
By purchasing a ticket, the user makes a binding offer. The contract is concluded by confirmation and successful payment processing. Ticket availability is limited; there is no entitlement to a place until the contract has been concluded.
8.Payment
Payment is made online via the payment service provider Stripe. Payment processing is carried out by Stripe. e-turnier.ch does not store complete credit card data.
9.Ticket delivery / digital tickets
Tickets are issued digitally. After successful payment, the ticket appears in the "My tickets" section of the user account. No physical delivery of tickets takes place.
10.QR codes and ticket validity
Each ticket receives a unique ticket number and may contain a QR code for check-in. The QR code may not be manipulated, copied or misused. Each ticket can only be used once for check-in.
11.Check-in at events
At check-in, the identity of the participating person may be checked manually against the participant data. The operator reserves the right to refuse participation to persons without a valid, manipulated or misused ticket.
12.Cancellation by the participant
Tournament tickets are generally non-refundable unless the tournament is cancelled or postponed by the operator. Requests for cancellation for important reasons (e.g. illness) can be made individually. A refund is made in such cases at the operator's discretion.
Note: This rule is a business decision and can be adjusted if needed.
13.Cancellation / postponement of a tournament
If a tournament is cancelled or postponed by the operator, tickets already purchased will be rebooked to the replacement date or refunded where possible. See clause 14 for refunds.
14.Refunds
Refunds are made when a tournament is cancelled by the operator. If cancelled by the participant, clause 12 applies. Refunds are paid to the original payment method.
15.Shop and physical products
The e-turnier.ch shop offers physical products (e.g. gaming accessories, frames). Products can be viewed publicly. A login is required to place an order.
16.Order and conclusion of contract in the shop
By submitting an order, the user makes a binding offer. The contract is concluded by confirmation and successful payment processing. Orders are assigned to the user account and appear under "My orders".
17.Delivery / shipping
Details on delivery times and shipping costs are shown during the order process or in the shop. No fixed deadlines are guaranteed unless expressly communicated.
Note: This rule is a business decision and can be adjusted if needed.
18.Returns / defects
Swiss warranty law applies to delivered products. Statutory rights in the event of defects remain reserved. No further return rights are granted unless expressly communicated.
Note: This rule is a business decision and can be adjusted if needed.
19.Vouchers / discount codes
Discount codes (e.g. partner codes) apply under the conditions stated for the respective promotion. They are only valid for the intended period and purpose and cannot be combined with other promotions unless otherwise stated.
20.Behaviour at tournaments / exclusion
Participants must behave fairly and respectfully. The operator reserves the right to exclude persons from tournaments for rule-breaking, unsportsmanlike or disruptive behaviour. There is no entitlement to a refund in such cases.
21.User obligations
Users undertake not to provide false information, not to infringe the rights of third parties and not to misuse the platform. Tickets may not be resold or manipulated.
22.Liability
The operator is liable in accordance with the statutory provisions. For slight negligence, the operator is only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for typical and foreseeable damage. Liability for auxiliaries is excluded insofar as legally permitted.
23.Technical availability
The operator endeavours to ensure high availability of the platform. There is no right to uninterrupted availability. Maintenance work, disruptions or force majeure may lead to temporary interruptions.
24.External services / links
The website contains links to external websites and partners (e.g. ICONELEVEN, play.e-turnier.ch). The respective operator is responsible for the content of external websites. e-turnier.ch accepts no liability for external content.
25.Changes to the GTC
The operator reserves the right to adjust these GTC at any time. For contracts already concluded, the version of the GTC applicable at the time the contract was concluded applies.
26.Applicable law
Swiss law applies, excluding the conflict-of-law rules of international private law and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
27.Jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction is the operator's registered office, insofar as this is legally permitted.
28.Contact
The operator's contact details can be found in the imprint and in the website footer.
